Vince Zampella, Dies in an LA Traffic Collision
Vince Zampella, the mind behind the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in the state of California he was 55 years old.
Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company that he helped create.
The renowned game designer died after his car crashed and burst into flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday, as reported by.
"This represents a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, his loved ones, and the countless individuals inspired by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts commented.
