Renowned Performer Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Known For Roles in Friends and The Middle, Dies at 60 Years Old.

American performer Finn, who appeared in popular television series like "Friends", Seinfeld and The Middle, has succumbed at 60 years old.

The comedy and improvisation performer passed away at his residence in Los Angeles this Monday after undergoing treatment for a cancer diagnosis since 2022, as reported by reports.

"Pat Finn considered no one a stranger - only friends he had yet to meet," his loved ones stated in a statement.

They continued that he had "lived his life fully - with happiness and energy".

A Prolific Career on Screen

His initial on-screen part was on a show starring George Wendt in the mid-90s, where he portrayed the titular character's brother.

He also had a repeating character on Murphy Brown in the latter half of the 1990s.

He starred as a party host named Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, depicting a host who would assign tedious tasks to his guests.

Throughout the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he made guest appearances on numerous popular shows, such as:

  • King of Queens
  • "Friends"
  • That '70s Show
  • House

He was most recognized for portraying Bill Norwood in "The Middle", appearing throughout eight series from 2011 to 2018.

His cinematic roles include It's Complicated and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.

A Life in Improv

Away from his television work, Finn was an improv performer and served as an educator at the Colorado university, where he was an adjunct professor.

He was a member of a comedy group of six known as Beer Shark Mice.

"Finn coached, befriended and mentored numerous pupils throughout the years and you'd be hard-pressed to find someone anywhere who has a bad thing to say about him," his family wrote.

Offering condolences, peer Richard Kind remarked there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, grounded individual you could encounter".

"Perpetually optimistic, assisting others to improve and be funnier. An excellent dad and person," he posted on social media.

Pat Finn is leaves behind his partner Donna, his children, and his parents and siblings.
