Over 50 unaccompanied young refugees who went missing shortly after arriving the UK and while being looked after by government agencies are yet to be found, as per figures obtained.

A significant number of the vanished youths arrived in dinghies or hidden in the backs of lorries and are presumed to have been seized by criminal networks. A specific county is often the area where they initially reach.

Government Figures Shows Disturbing Numbers

Publicly available data has documented 345 children going missing from their area, with 56 of those remaining unaccounted for.

From 2021 and 2023, when designated facilities for children were run in addition to similar establishments in different regions, 132 children disappeared from those two hotels. From this group, 108 were eventually recovered but 24 are yet to be found.
