The City of Angels experienced citywide celebrations after the Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series title. Fans across the globe united with local residents in celebration, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a team has achieved back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Draws Enormous Turnout
Los Angeles area events featured a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Online footage depict thousands of Angelenos packing downtown streets, many carrying homemade signs and Dodger flags. The team was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the masses, hoisting the championship trophy proudly.
