During a public appearance to a cathedral in Staffordshire on the start of the week, the King was heckled by a protester who questioned him about Prince Andrew's links with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The man inquired how long the monarch had been known about his brother's association with Epstein, and also raised doubts about whether he had instructed the authorities to "conceal" for Andrew.

Amid the protest, there were throngs of well-wishers and applause for the King, who was in Staffordshire for an event.

Prince Andrew's connections with Jeffrey Epstein have been under intense scrutiny in recent weeks. The prince, who gave up his titles earlier this month, has repeatedly denied any misconduct.

"For how long have you known about Prince Andrew and Epstein? Have you asked the police to conceal for Andrew?"

The monarch ignored the questions but carried on greeting fans, some of whom shouted "Long live the King". One supporter can be overheard asking him for a hug.

A female bystander outside the venue was also heard telling the heckler to "go away" and to "be quiet".

Controversy Revived by Posthumous Publication

The scandal over Prince Andrew's connections to Jeffrey Epstein has been brought back into focus by misconduct allegations detailed in Ms. Giuffre's recently released memoir.

In the memoir, the accuser says she had sex with the prince on multiple times, including once with Epstein and "several other minors"

Prince Andrew, who reached a financial settlement with Ms Giuffre in 2022, has repeatedly denied any misconduct. In 2019, he told a news program he did not remember meeting Ms Giuffre "ever", and that they "never had any sort of sexual contact."

New Inquiries About Lifestyle and Housing

But recently, fresh questions have been raised about how he is able to finance his lifestyle despite not being a active member of the royal family.

The revelation that he has only ever paid a nominal fee on his Windsor mansion has intensified the scrutiny over his living arrangements - even though he made significant contributions initially, including for renovations.

The Liberal Democrats said he should be summoned before MPs to give evidence about his lease of his lodge.

But last week, the authorities refused to give parliamentarians time to discuss the prince's titles or his home, despite growing pressure for investigation.

The royal household has not commented on whether the Duke of York might relocate of his current residence - or where he might go.
