It's tough for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

This is the squad that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, along with an additional six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed nearly four years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the peak baggers, are the only things left for a side that has achieved everything.

The fact it required until Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase exceeding 300, taking back their record for the largest in the women's 50-over format, is, in truth, a testament to the bowlers that have represented Australia over five decades.

The question of whether this recent magnificent innings surpassed that earlier display can be debated.

Many contend the argument supporting championship match pressure. Different voices suggest with the challenge that comes when facing a record target and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's clear is this hundred was considerably tougher to predict.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 happened while she was the highest scorer, but this performance came after six matches in India since the start of last month in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"For those following me in the nets, it's been a frustrating experience because it appeared my form was missing completely," stated Healy.

"But once you take the field, your competitive instincts kick in and you simply focus on the match."

One run resulted off Gaud's first delivery and from that point the right-hander was on her way.

"An opportunity to play and lock in a contest with her and just have a bit of fun that way, sort of got me going," stated Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 pitches - her fastest at a World Cup - and her century in 84 deliveries while she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three sixes.

When she was out the team needed 66 more at run per delivery - an achievable target now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I am glad we have the confidence to accomplish that now," stated Healy further.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it another time but, if necessary, we know we can succeed."

Those words will be the last rival teams at this World Cup want to hear.

Over the past five days a sense they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this success succeeding victory over Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a meeting with old rivals England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.

It was at that stage they were eliminated from the previous year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a game Healy couldn't play because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she led her country for the initial instance at a major tournament.
